Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for suspicious network activity
- Assist in incident response procedures and document security events
- Conduct vulnerability assessments using industry-standard tools
- Participate in penetration testing simulations under expert guidance
- Update and maintain security documentation and policies
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls
- Complete quarterly security awareness training modules
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS)
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills
- CompTIA Security+ certification (or willingness to obtain within 6 months)
- Proficiency in Windows/Linux operating systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Valid U.S. driver's license for occasional client visits
- Pass background check and drug screening
