Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for suspicious activity
- Assist in incident response documentation and basic forensic analysis
- Perform vulnerability scans and security assessments on company systems
- Collaborate with senior analysts to develop security awareness materials
- Participate in penetration testing exercises under supervision
- Research emerging threats and contribute to threat intelligence reports
- Maintain security documentation and compliance checklists
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, firewalls, DNS)
- Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, Linux)
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- CompTIA Security+ certification (or willingness to obtain within 6 months)
- Ability to work rotating shifts in 24/7 security operations environment
