Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and analyze potential threats
- Document security incidents and collaborate with IT teams on remediation
- Perform vulnerability scans and penetration testing under guidance
- Assist with security policy implementation and compliance audits
- Conduct forensic analysis of security events and generate incident reports
- Participate in security awareness training for employees
- Stay updated on emerging threats and industry best practices
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- CompTIA Security+ certification (or willingness to obtain within 6 months)
- Basic understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP)
