Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network systems
- Document security incidents and contribute to incident response procedures
- Implement and maintain firewall configurations and access control policies
- Assist in developing security awareness training for employees
- Perform forensic analysis on security breaches and data compromises
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- CompTIA Security+ certification or willingness to obtain within 6 months
- Familiarity with network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP) and operating systems
- Basic knowledge of cloud security principles (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Understanding of compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in fast-paced environments
