Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and analyze potential threats using SIEM platforms
- Document security incidents and maintain detailed audit trails
- Assist in vulnerability assessments and penetration testing exercises
- Collaborate with senior analysts on incident response procedures
- Stay updated on emerging threats and security best practices
- Participate in tabletop simulations and security drills
- Support compliance initiatives (NIST, ISO 27001)
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls)
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Windows/Linux operating systems
- CompTIA Security+ certification (preferred, not required)
- Ability to work rotating shifts (24/7 operations center)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must pass background check and drug screening
