Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and incidents using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network systems
- Assist in developing and implementing security policies and procedures
- Document security incidents and maintain compliance with regulatory standards
- Collaborate with IT teams to patch vulnerabilities and strengthen system defenses
- Participate in security awareness training for employees
- Stay updated on emerging threats and security technologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, or related field
- CompTIA Security+ certification (or willingness to obtain within 6 months)
- Basic understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP)
- Familiarity with Windows/Linux operating systems and security tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in fast-paced environments
- 0-2 years of relevant internship or academic experience
