Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM tools (Splunk/QRadar)
- Investigate potential security incidents and escalate critical threats
- Assist with vulnerability scanning and patch management
- Document security procedures and incident reports
- Collaborate with IT teams on security best practices
- Participate in tabletop security drills and simulations
- Stay current on emerging threats and mitigation strategies
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity/IT or equivalent experience
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification (preferred)
- Familiarity with NIST frameworks and compliance standards
- Basic knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP)
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in fast-paced security operations environments
- Excellent written communication for reporting/documentation
