Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for suspicious activity
- Perform vulnerability scans and penetration testing under guidance
- Assist in incident response documentation and root cause analysis
- Implement firewall policies and access control configurations
- Conduct security awareness training for employees
- Update and maintain security documentation and policies
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST frameworks
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- CompTIA Security+ or similar certification (preferred)
- Fundamental knowledge of network protocols and security concepts
- Basic scripting skills (Python, PowerShell, or Bash)
- Familiarity with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
