Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar)
- Investigate and document security incidents following NIST guidelines
- Assist in vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Implement and maintain security controls (firewalls, IDS/IPS)
- Collaborate with IT teams on security policy development
- Participate in security awareness training initiatives
- Generate incident reports and remediation plans
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification (or in progress)
- Familiarity with networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs)
- Basic scripting knowledge (Python, PowerShell, Bash)
- Understanding of common attack vectors (phishing, malware, DDoS)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
