Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and investigate potential cyber threats using SIEM tools
- Assist with vulnerability assessments and penetration testing exercises
- Create and maintain security documentation and incident reports
- Collaborate with senior analysts on threat intelligence analysis
- Participate in security awareness training for company staff
- Support compliance initiatives (NIST, GDPR) documentation
- Execute security hardening procedures on network devices
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls)
- Fundamental knowledge of operating systems (Windows/Linux)
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- CompTIA Security+ or similar certification (preferred, not required)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
