Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events in real-time using SIEM tools to identify potential intrusions or vulnerabilities.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing under the guidance of senior security engineers.
- Document security incidents, maintain detailed logs, and create reports for management.
- Assist in the implementation and configuration of security policies and firewall rules.
- Respond to and help mitigate security breaches and malware threats.
- Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and mitigation strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field (or equivalent work experience).
- CompTIA Security+ or Network+ certification is highly preferred.
- Basic understanding of network protocols, TCP/IP, and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
- Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, Bash, or PowerShell) is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
