Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and triage incidents
- Analyze network traffic for anomalies using Wireshark and IDS/IPS systems
- Document security events and maintain incident response playbooks
- Perform vulnerability scans using Nessus and Burp Suite
- Collaborate with IT teams on patch management and hardening
- Participate in tabletop exercises and security awareness campaigns
- Research emerging threats via MITRE ATT&CK framework
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in IT, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- CompTIA Security+ certification (or willingness to obtain within 90 days)
- Basic knowledge of TCP/IP, firewalls, and encryption protocols
- Familiarity with Windows/Linux command line and scripting basics
- Strong analytical problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work rotating shifts for 24/7 operations
- US citizenship or valid work authorization required
