Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Assist in incident response documentation and remediation efforts
- Conduct vulnerability assessments using tools like Nessus and Qualys
- Participate in security awareness training campaigns for employees
- Support network and application security audits
- Research emerging threats and contribute to threat intelligence reports
- Document security procedures and create technical documentation
Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification (or willingness to obtain within 6 months)
- Basic understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP)
- Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, Linux) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively in fast-paced environments
- Basic scripting knowledge (Python, PowerShell) preferred
