Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for threat detection
- Assist in incident response, investigation, and documentation of security events
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing under supervision
- Implement and maintain security controls including firewalls and endpoint protection
- Conduct security awareness training for internal stakeholders
- Stay updated on emerging threats and industry best practices
- Document security policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, or related field
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification (or within 6 months of hire)
- Basic understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP)
- Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS)
- Knowledge of common security tools (Wireshark, Nmap, Burp Suite)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
