Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM dashboards for suspicious activity and log anomalies
- Assist in vulnerability assessments and penetration testing exercises
- Document security incidents and remediation actions
- Participate in phishing simulation campaigns and awareness training
- Support implementation of NIST and CIS security controls
- Collaborate with SOC analysts on threat intelligence analysis
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework in IT/cybersecurity preferred
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls)
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to obtain Security+ certification within 90 days of hire
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Windows/Linux environments
