Role Overview:
As a Weekend Data Analyst, you will be responsible for the end-to-end analysis of data streams, ensuring that our reporting is accurate and timely. You will act as the bridge between raw data and actionable business intelligence, providing stakeholders with the clarity needed to optimize performance.
Responsibilities
- Execute data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes to ensure data accuracy for weekend-specific reports.
- Analyze large, complex datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for operational improvement.
- Generate and maintain interactive dashboards (Tableau/PowerBI) to visualize weekly performance metrics.
- Clean, validate, and preprocess raw data to ensure high-quality output for business intelligence tools.
- Collaborate with the central operations team to troubleshoot data discrepancies and resolve reporting issues.
- Document data sources, methodologies, and findings to ensure transparency and repeatability.
- Forecast business metrics based on historical weekend data trends to support strategic planning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of professional experience in data analysis or a related role.
- Proficiency in SQL for querying databases and extracting complex datasets.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Macros) and experience with visualization tools like Tableau or PowerBI.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently during weekends without supervision.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for presenting findings to the wider team.
- Ability to manage time effectively and meet strict reporting deadlines.
