The Role:
As our Data Analyst, you will serve as the bridge between our data infrastructure and business decision-making. You will collect, process, and perform statistical analyses on large datasets to uncover trends and patterns that help us stay ahead of the competition.
Responsibilities
- Data Collection & Processing: Gather, clean, and validate data from various sources to ensure accuracy and integrity for analysis.
- Statistical Analysis: Perform complex data analysis using SQL, Python, or R to identify trends, correlations, and outliers within the dataset.
- Reporting & Visualization: Design and develop dynamic dashboards using Tableau or PowerBI to present complex data findings in a clear, visual format for stakeholders.
- Performance Monitoring: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare regular reports to monitor business health and progress.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Operations, Finance) to understand their data needs and provide actionable recommendations.
- Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in current data workflows and propose solutions to optimize data management processes.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: 1-3 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a similar analytical role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL for data querying; strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros); experience with visualization tools like Tableau or PowerBI.
- Programming: Basic to intermediate knowledge of Python or R is highly preferred.
- Analytical Mindset: Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets and translate them into simple business insights.
- Availability: Must be available to work part-time hours (20-30 hours per week) on-site in Stockton.
