Responsibilities
- Data Mining & Cleansing: Collect, clean, and validate large datasets to ensure accuracy and reliability for reporting purposes.
- Statistical Analysis: Perform complex statistical analyses to uncover trends, patterns, and correlations within the data.
- Visualization: Develop intuitive dashboards and reports using tools like Tableau or Power BI to present data findings to non-technical audiences.
- SQL Development: Write and optimize complex SQL queries to extract data from relational databases and support ad-hoc reporting needs.
- Forecasting: Build predictive models to forecast future trends and assist in strategic planning.
- Collaboration: Work closely with product managers and engineers to define data requirements and implement data governance standards.
- Documentation: Maintain clear documentation of data sources, methodologies, and analytical processes.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Experience: 3+ years of professional experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a similar role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and experience with Python or R for data manipulation.
- Visualization Tools: Strong working knowledge of Tableau, Power BI, or similar visualization software.
- Excel Expertise: Advanced proficiency in Excel, including VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and macros.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex data concepts to diverse audiences.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical mindset with a proven track record of solving complex business problems.
