Apex Data Solutions is urgently hiring a highly skilled Data Analyst to support our growing operations. We are looking for a dedicated professional to work in our night shift rotation, ensuring critical data insights are delivered while the rest of the world sleeps. This is a fully remote opportunity for candidates based in or willing to work within the San Jose, CA area.
In this pivotal role, you will be the bridge between raw data and strategic decision-making. You will leverage your expertise to uncover hidden trends, optimize workflows, and provide the leadership team with the clarity they need to drive success.
Responsibilities
- Extract, clean, and transform large datasets from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and visualizations using tools like Tableau or Power BI.
- Analyze business performance metrics during off-peak hours to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and reporting requirements.
- Write complex SQL queries to retrieve specific data subsets for ad-hoc analysis.
- Document data processes and create standard operating procedures for the night shift team.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Data Analysis or a related quantitative field.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, or R, with experience in data visualization tools (Tableau/PowerBI) required.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets independently.
- Willingness and ability to work rotating night shifts (e.g., 8 PM - 5 AM or 10 PM - 7 AM).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related discipline.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting findings to non-technical stakeholders.
