Responsibilities
- Market Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of equity options data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies that impact pricing and risk.
- Modeling & Reporting: Develop and maintain complex financial models to forecast market movements and evaluate option strategies.
- Visualization: Create compelling data visualizations and dashboards (using tools like Tableau or PowerBI) to present findings to stakeholders and senior management.
- Data Integrity: Ensure the accuracy and consistency of large datasets by performing data cleansing and validation tasks.
- Collaboration: Work closely with traders, risk managers, and developers to define data requirements and optimize data pipelines.
- Strategy Support: Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on quantitative analysis to support trading floor operations.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in data analysis, preferably within the finance, trading, or investment banking sectors.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL for data retrieval and manipulation; experience with Python or R is highly preferred.
- Financial Knowledge: Strong understanding of equity options, derivatives, and options pricing models (e.g., Black-Scholes).
- Tools: Familiarity with financial data platforms (e.g., Bloomberg, Refinitiv, or similar).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear business insights.
