Your Role:
As our Equity Options Data Analyst, you will be the bridge between raw data and strategic planning. You will ensure data integrity, automate reporting processes, and provide deep-dive analysis on option pricing and market trends.
Responsibilities
- Equity Options Analysis: Conduct deep-dive analysis of equity option data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for portfolio optimization.
- Data Visualization: Design and maintain interactive dashboards using tools like Tableau or PowerBI to present complex financial data to stakeholders clearly.
- Reporting: Generate accurate, timely, and comprehensive monthly and quarterly reports regarding option performance and market volatility.
- SQL & Data Management: Write complex SQL queries to extract, clean, and manipulate large datasets from various financial databases.
- Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in data reporting workflows and implement automated solutions to streamline operations.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with the finance and trading teams to understand business requirements and translate them into data-driven solutions.
- Compliance: Ensure all data handling practices adhere to financial regulations and internal compliance standards.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in data analysis, preferably within the finance, securities, or equity options sector.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and scripting languages such as Python or R.
- Tools: Strong command of data visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI, or Looker).
- Analytical Mindset: Excellent ability to interpret complex datasets and translate them into strategic business insights.
- Communication: Superior written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present technical findings to non-technical audiences.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy when handling sensitive financial data.
