Responsibilities
- Market Analysis: Analyze large-scale datasets related to equity options, volatility surfaces, and implied volatility to identify trading opportunities and market trends.
- Modeling & Reporting: Develop and maintain complex financial models to assess option pricing and risk exposure, generating regular reports for stakeholders.
- Data Visualization: Design intuitive dashboards and visualizations using tools like Tableau or Power BI to present complex data findings to traders and portfolio managers.
- Data Integrity: Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and cleanliness of all market data feeds and internal databases.
- Strategy Support: Collaborate with the trading desk to support quantitative strategies and provide data-driven insights for option execution.
- Automation: Automate routine data processing tasks to increase efficiency and reduce manual errors in reporting.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelorβs degree in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in data analysis, preferably within the financial services, derivatives, or equity markets sector.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python (Pandas, NumPy), SQL, and advanced Excel (VBA/Macros). Experience with Tableau or Power BI is highly preferred.
- Financial Knowledge: Strong understanding of equity options, Black-Scholes models, Greeks, and market terminology.
- Analytical Mindset: Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into clear business insights.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy when handling sensitive financial data.
