Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain microservices for payment processing APIs
- Implement secure transaction handling with PCI compliance
- Optimize database queries for high-volume financial transactions
- Write comprehensive unit/integration tests using Jest/Pytest
- Collaborate with product team on sprint planning and backlog refinement
- Monitor system performance using Datadog and New Relic
- Document API specifications using Swagger/OpenAPI
Qualifications
- 3+ years experience in backend development (Python/Node.js)
- Proficiency with relational (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases
- Understanding of payment gateways (Stripe, Plaid, Dwolla)
- Experience with container orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Strong knowledge of RESTful API design principles
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/GitLab CI)
- BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
