Responsibilities
- Monitor security systems and respond to security alerts in real-time to ensure system integrity.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify potential weaknesses.
- Analyze network traffic and system logs to identify and mitigate potential threats.
- Implement and maintain robust security policies and compliance standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
- Investigate security incidents and prepare detailed reports for management and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to secure cloud infrastructure and applications.
- Stay current with the latest cybersecurity trends and emerging threats.
Qualifications
- Certification required: CISSP, Security+, CEH, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC analysis, or network administration.
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel, LogRhythm) and firewalls.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, OSI model, and common network protocols.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting purposes.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance if required.
