Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and investigate potential threats using SIEM platforms
- Conduct forensic analysis on security incidents and malware events
- Implement and maintain security controls (firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams during security incidents
- Generate detailed incident reports and executive summaries
- Stay current with emerging threats and vulnerability trends
- Participate in security audits and compliance assessments
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
- 3+ years of cybersecurity experience in a SOC environment
- Industry certifications (CISSP, Security+, CEH) preferred
- Proficiency with security tools (Splunk, CrowdStrike, Palo Alto)
- Strong understanding of network protocols and attack vectors
- Experience with incident response procedures (NIST framework)
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
