Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust network security protocols including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection systems
- Conduct proactive threat hunting, vulnerability assessments, and incident response coordination
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop zero-trust architecture and cloud security frameworks
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) to mitigate risks in real-time
- Lead security awareness training programs and enforce compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and GDPR standards
- Document security procedures, conduct penetration testing, and generate executive risk reports
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years in cybersecurity roles with proven expertise in threat detection and incident response
- Certifications: CISSP, CEH, or Security+ (CompTIA Security+ required)
- Proficiency in SIEM tools, cloud security (AWS/Azure), and network protocols
- Experience with penetration testing tools (Metasploit, Burp Suite) and vulnerability scanners
- Strong analytical skills with ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders
