Responsibilities
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network systems
- Monitor security incidents using SIEM tools and respond to alerts
- Implement and maintain firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption protocols
- Develop security documentation including policies, procedures, and risk assessments
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST and ISO standards
- Lead incident response planning and tabletop exercises
- Stay current on emerging threats and cybersecurity trends
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity with hands-on incident response experience
- Certifications: CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and network security protocols
- Strong knowledge of cloud security (AWS, Azure) and compliance frameworks
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to communicate complex risks
- Part-time availability (20-30 hours/week) with flexibility for urgent incidents
