Responsibilities
- Monitor and protect equity options trading platforms against cyber threats 24/7 during weekend shifts
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration tests on trading systems
- Implement and maintain SIEM solutions for financial transaction monitoring
- Respond to and mitigate security incidents involving trading infrastructure
- Develop security policies compliant with FINRA, SEC, and CFTC regulations
- Collaborate with traders and risk analysts to address emerging threats
- Document security incidents and prepare comprehensive forensic reports
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Finance, or related field
- 3+ years of cybersecurity experience with financial systems
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or equivalent
- Deep understanding of equity options trading mechanisms and market protocols
- Proficiency in threat detection tools (Splunk, Darktrace, CrowdStrike)
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and network segmentation
- Strong analytical skills for interpreting complex financial security data
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts with minimal supervision
