Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on financial systems
- Implement and manage firewall configurations (Palo Alto, Fortinet)
- Incident response coordination with SOC teams during security breaches
- Develop security documentation and compliance reports for regulatory audits
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate security in CI/CD pipelines
- Provide daily cybersecurity awareness training to staff
Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in financial services
- Active CISSP or CEH certification required
- Proficiency in NIST and ISO 27001 security frameworks
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (CrowdStrike, Darktrace)
- Strong knowledge of network security protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN)
- Ability to work independently and deliver daily progress reports
- Valid Illinois driver's license for occasional client site visits
