Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) for security alerts and anomalous activity
- Investigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents using NIST framework
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on client systems
- Document security incidents and create detailed incident reports
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security controls
- Stay current on emerging threats and threat intelligence trends
- Conduct forensic analysis of security breaches and malware incidents
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2+ years of SOC/Security Operations Center experience
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM tools and network security protocols
- Experience with incident response procedures and forensic tools
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced night shift environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
