Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and respond to incidents in real-time during night shift hours
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Implement and maintain security controls including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to investigate and resolve security breaches
- Generate comprehensive incident reports and security documentation
- Stay current on emerging threats and mitigation techniques
- Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation for critical incidents
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of cybersecurity experience with SOC operations background
- Industry certifications (CISSP, CEH, Security+, CompTIA CySA+)
- Proficiency in SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and threat intelligence tools
- Strong understanding of network protocols and attack vectors
- Ability to work independently during night shift hours
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
