Responsibilities
- Monitor and respond to security incidents across global enterprise networks during night shifts
- Analyze SIEM alerts and conduct forensic investigations using Splunk, ArcSight, and QRadar
- Implement firewall rules, IDS/IPS configurations, and vulnerability management protocols
- Collaborate with day-shift teams via handover procedures for seamless security operations
- Document incident reports, create playbooks, and contribute to security strategy improvements
- Conduct penetration testing and vulnerability assessments on critical systems
- Stay current on emerging threats via threat intelligence feeds and security research
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in SOC operations, incident response, or cybersecurity analysis
- Active CISSP, Security+, or CEH certification (required)
- Proficiency in SIEM tools, network security protocols, and cloud security frameworks
- Experience with Linux/Windows systems administration and scripting (Python/Bash)
- Ability to work independently during night shifts with minimal supervision
- Strong written communication skills for incident reporting and team coordination
- Must be able to obtain DHS CUI clearance for government contracts
