Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents in SIEM platforms (Splunk/Symantec)
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on client networks
- Investigate security breaches using forensic tools and methodologies
- Develop and maintain security documentation, including incident reports and playbooks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security controls
- Conduct threat intelligence analysis to proactively identify emerging risks
- Provide after-hours support for critical security incidents
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity or IT security operations
- Certification: CISSP, Security+, or CEH (or equivalent)
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and IDS/IPS systems
- Strong understanding of network protocols, firewalls, and encryption
- Ability to work independently during night shifts with minimal supervision
- Experience with incident response procedures and threat hunting
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
