Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms for real-time threat detection and incident response
- Conduct forensic analysis of security events using advanced tools
- Implement and maintain IDS/IPS configurations across cloud/on-prem environments
- Collaborate with red team on penetration testing and vulnerability assessments
- Generate comprehensive security incident reports for executive stakeholders
- Document security protocols and contribute to threat intelligence initiatives
- Provide after-hours support for critical security infrastructure
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Cybersecurity/IT or equivalent experience (5+ years)
- CISSP, CEH, or GIAC certification required
- Expertise in SIEM (Splunk/QRadar) and IDS/IPS technologies
- Proficiency in network protocols, cloud security (AWS/Azure), and threat hunting
- Experience with NIST frameworks and compliance standards
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work under pressure
- Availability for 12-hour night shifts (7 PM - 7 AM)
- Valid US government security clearance preferred
