Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust network security architectures (firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs)
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on critical systems
- Lead incident response for security breaches and cyber-attacks
- Develop security automation scripts using Python/PowerShell
- Monitor SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) for threat detection
- Ensure compliance with NIST, CIS, and ISO 27001 standards
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to embed security in CI/CD pipelines
- Mentor junior engineers on security best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years in cybersecurity engineering or similar role
- Active CISSP, CISM, or CompTIA Security+ certification
- Expertise in network security tools (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA)
- Hands-on experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure/GCP)
- Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
- Knowledge of threat intelligence frameworks (MITRE ATT&CK)
- Experience with SIEM implementation and tuning
