Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust network security architectures using Palo Alto and Cisco solutions
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing using Qualys and Nessus
- Manage SIEM platforms (Splunk/Symantec) to detect and respond to security incidents
- Develop incident response playbooks and lead breach mitigation efforts
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines
- Maintain compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and Georgia state cybersecurity standards
- Mentor junior engineers through our internal certification program
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity engineering with hands-on SOC experience
- Certifications: CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ (required)
- Expertise in network security protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, firewalls)
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash) for automation tasks
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and containerized environments
- Strong analytical skills for threat hunting and forensic investigations
- Ability to obtain Georgia IT security clearance (if required for projects)
