Responsibilities
- Design and implement advanced network security protocols including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection systems
- Lead incident response operations, including forensic analysis and containment of security breaches
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing across hybrid cloud environments
- Develop and maintain SIEM dashboards for real-time threat monitoring and anomaly detection
- Create security automation scripts using Python and PowerShell to streamline defensive operations
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate security controls into CI/CD pipelines
- Maintain compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and industry-specific regulatory standards
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity engineering with focus on network defense and threat detection
- Certified CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ required with GIAC preferred
- Expertise in cloud security (AWS/Azure) and container orchestration security
- Proven experience with SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and EDR solutions
- Strong scripting capabilities (Python, PowerShell, Bash) for security automation
- Experience leading incident response teams and post-breach remediation
- Knowledge of zero-trust architecture implementation and identity management systems
- Active DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain within 30 days
