Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust security architectures including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and zero-trust frameworks
- Conduct proactive threat hunting and incident response for enterprise environments
- Lead penetration testing and vulnerability assessments across cloud/on-premises infrastructure
- Develop security automation scripts using Python and PowerShell
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines
- Monitor SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and analyze security alerts
- Document security policies, procedures, and post-incident reports
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity engineering or similar role
- Active CISSP, CEH, or Security+ certification required
- Expertise in cloud security (AWS/Azure) and network protocols
- Hands-on experience with SIEM tools and threat intelligence platforms
- Strong knowledge of compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
- Valid Texas driver's license for occasional client site visits
