Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM tools to detect and respond to cyber threats
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing across network infrastructure
- Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and best practices
- Lead incident response activities including containment, eradication, and recovery
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST and ISO 27001 standards
- Document security incidents and prepare detailed forensic reports
- Maintain and optimize security tools including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection platforms
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations or incident response
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and network security tools
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking, cloud security (AWS/Azure), and Windows/Linux systems
- Experience with threat hunting methodologies and MITRE ATT&CK framework
- Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret clearance (relocation assistance provided)
