Your Role
As a Cybersecurity Analyst Trainee, you will be the first line of defense against cyber threats. You will learn to monitor security alerts, analyze network traffic, and respond to incidents in a controlled environment before taking on real-world scenarios.
Responsibilities
- Monitor Security Events: Analyze SIEM alerts and logs to identify potential threats and suspicious activity 24/7.
- Incident Response: Assist in the triage, containment, and remediation of security breaches and malware incidents.
- Threat Hunting: Proactively search for hidden threats within the network infrastructure using advanced tools.
- Compliance Reporting: Assist in maintaining audit logs and ensuring adherence to internal security policies and external regulations (GDPR, HIPAA, NIST).
- System Hardening: Support vulnerability assessments and recommend patches to secure systems and applications.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of security incidents, procedures, and system configurations.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, OR equivalent military/police experience.
- Technical Basics: Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP) and operating systems (Windows, Linux).
- Analytical Mindset: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey technical findings to the team.
- Drive: A self-motivated attitude with a genuine passion for cybersecurity and protecting data.
- Availability: Must be willing to complete the 3-month paid training curriculum.
