Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar).
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses.
- Manage and configure network security devices, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and proxies.
- Investigate security incidents, determine root causes, and implement remediation strategies.
- Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to integrate security controls into the software development lifecycle.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
- Generate and present security reports to senior leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a SOC or information security role.
- Relevant certifications such as Security+, CISSP, CEH, or GCIH are highly preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of TCP/IP, OSI model, and common network protocols.
- Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and respond quickly to critical incidents.
