Responsibilities
- Monitor Security Infrastructure: Continuously monitor security alerts, traffic, and anomalies using SIEM tools like Splunk or QRadar to identify potential threats.
- Incident Response: Lead the investigation and remediation of security breaches, ensuring rapid containment and recovery.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular vulnerability scans, penetration tests, and risk assessments to identify and patch security gaps.
- Compliance Audits: Ensure all systems and processes adhere to NIST, HIPAA, and other relevant regulatory frameworks.
- Security Architecture: Assist in the implementation and configuration of firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Policy Development: Develop, update, and enforce cybersecurity policies and procedures for the organization.
- Training & Awareness: Conduct security awareness training for employees to reduce human error and social engineering risks.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Certifications: CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC certification is highly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity analysis, network security, or a related IT role.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, networking protocols, and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
- Tools: Proficiency with SIEM tools, firewalls, and endpoint protection systems.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a keen attention to detail.
