Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM tools to identify and mitigate potential threats in real-time.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits to ensure system integrity.
- Manage incident response procedures, including containment, eradication, and recovery from security breaches.
- Enforce security policies and compliance standards (e.g., NIST, HIPAA) across the organization.
- Collaborate with IT teams to design and implement robust firewalls, encryption, and access control measures.
- Provide technical guidance and security awareness training to employees and stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH are highly preferred.
- 3+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity, SOC analysis, or network security.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, OSI model, and common attack vectors.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.
- Willingness to relocate to Houston, Texas (Relocation assistance provided).
