Responsibilities
- Monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing across networks
- Develop and implement security controls aligned with NIST/CIS frameworks
- Lead incident response coordination and forensic investigations
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate security in CI/CD pipelines
- Document security policies, procedures, and compliance reports
- Mentor junior team members on threat intelligence and mitigation strategies
Qualifications
- 5+ years in cybersecurity with focus on threat detection and incident response
- CISSP, CEH, or Security+ certification required (OSCP preferred)
- Expertise in network security (firewalls, IDS/IPS) and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
- Experience with security automation tools (Ansible, Terraform)
- Strong understanding of compliance frameworks (GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS)
- Proven track record in developing security awareness programs
- Ability to obtain and maintain government security clearance
