Responsibilities
- Monitor Security Systems: Utilize SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, LogRhythm) to detect, analyze, and respond to security events and alerts in real-time.
- Incident Response: Lead the investigation and remediation of security breaches, including forensics and root cause analysis.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in our network infrastructure.
- Firewall & Network Security: Configure, manage, and monitor firewalls, VPNs, and other network security devices to enforce security policies.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry standards such as HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and ISO 27001 by maintaining up-to-date security documentation.
- Security Awareness: Collaborate with IT teams to educate staff on security best practices and conduct security training sessions.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Certifications: CISSP, Security+, CEH, or CompTIA Network+ is highly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity or information security analysis.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, network protocols, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and scripting languages (Python/Bash).
- Tools: Proficiency with SIEM, EDR, and Identity Management solutions.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
