Responsibilities
- Monitor security systems and SIEM tools to detect and respond to suspicious activities in real-time.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Investigate security breaches and coordinate incident response procedures.
- Enforce security policies and ensure compliance with local and federal regulations (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR).
- Manage firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion prevention systems.
- Document security incidents, logs, and incident reports for auditing purposes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in cybersecurity or network administration.
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or equivalent certification is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
- Experience with security tools such as Splunk, Wireshark, or FireEye.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
