Responsibilities
- Monitor network traffic and security alerts to detect potential threats and vulnerabilities in real-time.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in our systems.
- Respond to security incidents, including investigation, containment, and recovery activities.
- Implement and maintain security protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
- Manage user access controls and permissions to ensure least privilege.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards such as HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and NIST.
- Collaborate with IT teams to integrate security into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or information security analysis.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or CompTIA Network+ are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and EDR solutions.
- Experience with firewalls (Cisco, Palo Alto) and VPN technologies.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to think critically under pressure.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
