Responsibilities
- Monitor network traffic and systems for suspicious activities and potential security breaches.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Respond to and investigate security incidents, containing threats and mitigating damage.
- Configure, maintain, and update firewalls, antivirus software, and intrusion detection systems.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory standards (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR).
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to design secure infrastructure solutions.
- Document security protocols, incident reports, and system configurations.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in cybersecurity or information security analysis.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GSEC are strongly preferred.
- Deep understanding of network protocols, operating systems, and security frameworks.
- Proficiency in using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and log analysis.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and identify trends.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting to stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
