Responsibilities
- Monitor Security Operations Center (SOC): Analyze security alerts and events 24/7 during weekend shifts to detect and respond to intrusions in real-time.
- Incident Response: Lead the technical investigation and remediation of security breaches and malicious activities occurring outside of standard business hours.
- Threat Hunting: Proactively search for hidden threats and vulnerabilities within the network infrastructure using advanced SIEM tools.
- Access Control: Manage and validate user access rights, ensuring compliance with NIST and internal security policies.
- Vulnerability Management: Execute weekly vulnerability scans and coordinate patch management cycles for critical systems.
- Reporting: Generate detailed post-incident reports and weekly security status summaries for management.
- Collaboration: Liaise with the NOC and engineering teams to implement firewall rules and security configurations.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Cybersecurity, SOC Analysis, or Network Security.
- Certifications: Active CISSP, CEH, Security+, GCIH, or GSEC certification preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, Sentinel, QRadar) and familiarity with Python or PowerShell scripting.
- Availability: Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) on a rotating schedule.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for reporting high-stakes security incidents.
- Remote Capability: Must have a reliable high-speed internet connection and a dedicated workspace if working remotely.
