Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for anomalous activity
- Investigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents following established protocols
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on client systems
- Generate detailed incident reports and security trend analyses
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security controls
- Stay current with emerging threats and defensive technologies
- Participate in security awareness training for remote employees
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of cybersecurity experience with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar)
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST CSF, ISO 27001)
- Strong knowledge of network security principles and encryption protocols
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts with minimal supervision
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Valid U.S. driver's license for occasional on-site visits
